I’m confused by the syntax here. Who put me on TO fashion or who put me on THE fashion? Confusion for me…

Resolution #3: Short Coat, Long Jacket
One of my earlier 2011 resolutions was about not using winter as an excuse. It now seems as though spring is upon us—for a few days at least—and I’ve noticed a particularly troubling new trend amongst some men. I feel like I don’t even need to say this, but apparently I do…
Disclaimer: I’m NOT an advice-giver. I have no formal training, nor do I feel like I have a set of rules to follow. And let’s not pretend that I don’t also make major mistakes from time to time. However, there’s a spring trend that, for me, is a bit unforgivable.
If you’re wearing a suit jacket or blazer, you MUST wear an overcoat (or jacket) that is longer that your suit jacket. Cropped military-style jackets or leather bombers are nice. I’m all for them. Paired with a suit they evoke a sense of teenage prom—dressed up, but not adult-enough to know how to wear their own clothes.
I don’t feel as though I need to say more about this subject. Just don’t do it. Buy a longer spring jacket or wear less suit jackets. Or layer underneath your suit jacket and figure it out. Thank you and goodnight.
I can't remember how I came across your blog, but I just remember seeing your outfits and thinking "What a well dressed man". I've definitely learned a thing or two from your style. I recommended you for the fashion blogs by the way. I know this message is very random but have a great day, sir!
