I see a lot of well-dressed guys who button their button-up shirts all the way up, even when not wearing a tie. What's the thinking behind this? Is there a guideline, is there a balance being struck or is it just a feeling?
It’s definitely a trend of the moment. I think you’ll see a lot of buttoned-up shirts with skinny jeans if you catch my drift. Here’s the thing: I’m all for taking a chance on it if you’re feeling the trend or if you think you can rock the look. I can’t, and I hate the feeling of a fully-buttoned shirt squeezing my neck. So I guess (like most style inquiries) it’s a matter of personal preference.
Great blog! I love your sense of style.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback. Feel free to spread the word to your own followers… ;)
Come back! Your posts are greatly missed!
What a lovely message…
It’s true. I had about a month hiatus there, with a very busy March, ending with a very distantly-located vacation. But I’m back now—posting some outfits from ages ago, so my apologies if they feel a bit out of season.
