White’s Alright
Now that the sunshine has officially begun (and spring feels like it might actually arrive), I need to get through the last of my winter photos. Here’s an interesting combination of particular note. I love this window-pane blazer, and especially with white jeans. Why not?

Bow Tied Paradise
What I love about this outfit is that it somehow remains subtle, despite my decision to pair a patterned bow-tie with a patterned shirt, and to wear coloured pants, and bright socks. But I think that’s sometimes what style is all about—integrating the loud with the soft, the subtle with the brave, making a statement while whispering. You know?
Today’s Photographer: Sam, who found some amazing angles with this photoset, right before we found some amazing lunch.

Canadiana
There’s very little that says “Canadian” more than lumberjack plaid, tartan, and a Hudson Bay-inspired sweater. And that’s what this look is all about—the maple leaf forever.
Even though I picked up these Fluevogs from a vintage store in Chicago.

Winter Whites
Sometimes the middle of winter requires a pop of colour to make you feel alive. And by sometimes, I mean most of the time. This outfit was inspired by a winter look a saw with a bright orange sweater and white jeans. I took the inspiration and applied my own wardrobe.

Winter Blues
Winter wear doesn’t have to be boring. I found this amazing coat on sale mid-way through the cold weather this winter, and it inspired me to blog again—you’ll see that in the next few photosets. And an outfit of blue always needs yellow shoes.

Leather Mash-Up
I’m into things that match—don’t get me wrong. But sometimes the day simply calls for a lot of vintage leather/pleather. And this day it was my Thriller-inspired jacket, my carry-on flight bag, and these amazing fringed loafers.
Today’s Photographer: Katie, who agreed this backdrop made me look “bad ass”.

A Pop of Yellow
Though this looks like the weather we’re having now, this photoset was actually taken just before the snow starting to fall all winter long. I’m still very behind in getting these posts up.
But this is also a pretty decent spring look—winter-y sweater with a light jacket and bright shoes. Just a pop of yellow to let us know that spring is around the corner…

Over The Top
These shoes are certainly an “over the top” choice, but they’re also a choice that can be incorporated once in a while to mix things up. Throw in a camel-coloured topcoat, a matching canvas bag, and you’ve got something like an outfit. A risky one, sure, but something.
Today’s Photographer: Megan… I think.

Memories of Fall: Leather Weather
Another set of selfies here, but also a story of great vintage finding success. The jacket was a vintage store find, back when CTS was still operating at Queen and Spadina. But both the sweater vest and the shoes were under $5 at the Kingston Value Village. I’ve said it before but it’s all about small town thrift shops for real vintage at real deals.

Memories of Fall: Last of the Leaves
These photoset was taken as our Fall Season craziness was ending at work, and things were winding down for winter hibernation. It’s also when I decided to bust out this tweed blazer, which hasn’t really gotten a lot of play this winter. I should dig it out again….
Today’s Photographer: Sam, who captured the sun just perfectly.
